Camus’ Suite
Located on the 2nd floor, this is the suite that Albert Camus reserved when he resided in Palerme. You can easily imagine seated at his desk, looking south to the Luberon Mountains, inspired by the luxuriant greenery of the park.
The original materials (terracotta floors, beams whitened with lime milk and original pane-windows) have been lovingly refurbished to set the scene. The suite dimensions (45 sq. meters.), and high (4 meters) ceilings present a spacious and comfortable setting.
The new furnishings are reminiscent of the 1950’s home deco style from Camus’ times. A five-star king bed ensures great rest, and is complimented by a color palette (two tones of greys combined with saffron yellow) that along with the subtle lighting create an overall soothing atmosphere. The room has a contemporary bathroom with a bathtub and two sinks plus a separate shower and toilet.
The Camus Suite is air-conditioned. The room also has a mini bar, Nespresso coffee machine, kettle for herbal and other teas, plus amenities by L’Occitane.
Welcome to Palerme en Provence!
